Kit Orders for 2013 Season

Downpatrick Cricket Club's online shop is now open for the 2013 season. Prices have been slashed by 10% for all players and members.

Delivery not guaranteed before the start of the season, however be sure to place your order as soon as possible to ensure the soonest possible delivery time.

Note: When entering your delivery address, please enter all details as per normal; however be sure to select "Downpatrick" as your county; we have instructed RAM Cricket that any orders placed with this criteria are to be delivered to Northern Ireland. If you have any problems, please contact us.

County Down T/10 Trophy 2013 is Launched

Friday evening saw the launch of the 2013 County Down T/10 Trophy, which is taking place at the Strangford Road on Monday 27th May.

The event, which is kindly being sponsored by UPS for the second year running, will see hosts, and reigning champions, Downpatrick take on North Down, Dundrum and an NCU Select XI in what is sure to be a great day's entertainment for everyone.

The day itself is one for all the family, with face painting, bouncy castle, and an all day barbeque available.

On the field, the first match of the T/10 Trophy will begin at 10:30am, with the final being held at 7:00pm.

Be sure to call in to Downpatrick Cricket Club this Bank Holiday Monday for a great day's cricket, and family entertainment.

3rd XI Claim Important Early Season Victory at Moylena

Downpatrick's 3rd XI moved to the top of the NCU Junior League Section 8 table with an impressive 8-wicket victory over Muckamore IV at Moylena this afternoon.

Weekend Washout as Weather Forces Postponement of 1st & 2nd XI Matches

Following heavy rainfall overnight and throughout the course of Saturday morning, Downpatrick's 1st and 2nd XI had an unexpected weekend off competitive cricket as fixtures across the province were postponed.

Downpatrick's1st XI were due to host Donaghcloney at the Strangford Road, with the 2nd XI traveling to Uprichard Park to face their Bangor counterparts. Both fixtures fell victim to the poor weather, however.

The 1st and 2nd XI will now gear themselves up for a week of cup fixtures - the 1st XI will host Dundrum in the Lagan Valley Steels T/20 Trophy 2nd Round on Tuesday evening, before they welcome Carrickfergus to the Strangford Road on Saturday afternoon in the Ulster Bank Challenge Cup 1st Round.

The 2nd XI will take on Derriaghy II at the Strangford Road on Sunday afternoon in the 1st Round of the Intermediate Cup.

Downpatrick Progress to Ulster Shield 2nd Round After Bowl-Out Win Over Burndennett

Downpatrick Cricket Club have advanced to the 2nd Round of the 2013 Ulster Shield after a 2-0 win in a bowl-out over Burndennett.

Following heavy overnight rain, Sunday's scheduled 1st Round match was called off. With cup regulations stating that there must be a result, both sides were left with no option but to have a bowl-out over the phone.

Downpatrick emerged victorious by 2-0, with Dale Mullan and Thomas Magowan striking for the Strangford Road men.

Downpatrick will now travel to Section 1 rivals Muckamore in the 2nd round.
